ERIS BARKER, as you will read, was a strong. brave, smart, kind and also funny lady struck down way too young by cancer. When death became inevitable she did that with the same bravery and dignity she lived her life with a lot of help from her last and in my opinion best lover Bob Franzen. In the last few days her sisters flew up to help her and say goodbye, I was there too and some great hospice folks. She died at home in her own apartment in Seattle. Her funeral ceremony was very crowded with people of all colors, and walks of life and ways of living it. I still miss her and always will.
